Dynamic Differential Geometry in Education
نویسنده
چکیده
We present an augmented reality application which introduces differential geometry in educational dynamic geometry software. New functionality such as a Frenet frame, center and circle of curvature in arbitrary curve points, and others were implemented. Dynamic geometry allows to study differential geometric properties under movement. Using this tool we developed examples which enable teachers and learners to intuitively explore properties of interesting curves, to visualize contact of higher order between curves and surfaces, to construct Meusnier’s sphere, Dupin’s indicatrix and more.

Contributions to differential geometry of spacelike curves in Lorentzian plane L2
In this work, first the differential equation characterizing position vector of spacelike curve is obtained in Lorentzian plane $mathbb{L}^{2}.$ Then the special curves mentioned above are studied in Lorentzian plane $mathbb{L}%^{2}.$ Finally some characterizations of these special curves are given in $mathbb{L}^{2}.$
متن کاملCombination of dynamic geometry, algebra and calculus in the software system GeoGebra
Dynamic geometry and computer algebra systems have highly influenced mathematics education. Unfortunately, these tools have been totally unconnected. GeoGebra is a new software system that integrates possibilities of both dynamic geometry and computer algebra in one tool for mathematics education. ZDM classification: R 20, U 70
متن کاملNumerical optimization of hydrofoil geometry for a Darrieus hydraulic turbine using dynamic mesh and central composite design
In this study, a Darrieus hydraulic turbine for power generation applications is chosen and the response surface methodology (RSM) based on central composite design (CCD) is applied to obtain the optimized design for its hydrofoil geometry to increase the torque coefficient. For this aim, all turbine performance factors, except hydrofoil geometry, were considered to be constant and the turbine ...

This paper presents the dynamic modeling and design of micro motion compliant parallel mechanism with flexible intermediate links and rigid moving platform. Modeling of mechanism is described with closed kinematic loops and the dynamic equations are derived using Lagrange multipliers and Kane’s methods. Euler-Bernoulli beam theory is considered for modeling the intermediate flexible link. Based...
